Fact-Free Freedom

I tune into Fox “News” every once in a while to gauge the crazy. It’s always crazy, but sometimes it’s off the scales.

Like the time Tucker Carlson mocked Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for saying that she feared for her life during the Trump-lead insurrection of January Sixth. Those rioters literally attacked the capitol police–and killed one of them–so why is it so hard to believe that they would attack a firebrand liberal like AOC?

After all, Fox News devotes a significant amount of its air time demonizing the woman.

Today Fox was lamenting how Google wasn’t going to fund some Republicans any more. Officially, Google ceased funding the Republicans who refused to certify the election. So now Fox and Republicans are saying that it’s unfair, and a violation of their free speech.

Republicans warn that America may well become an Orwellian dystopia, free of lies. The horror.

Of course, it has nothing to do with freedom of speech and everything to do with those Republicans spreading the lie that Trump won the 2020 election in a landslide, the very lie that fueled the insurrection.

The GOP has reached the point where it has to spread lies in order to maintain power, and that’s all that anybody needs to know about them.

For thousands of years, throughout every culture in the world, the best way to gauge someone’s trustworthiness was by determining how often they lied.

Liars cannot be trusted.

But the Republican party has reached the point where they literally can no longer exist without telling lies. In addition, they can’t exist without the corporate funding and media support to help them spread those lies.

So the #Resistance is winning.

Keep exposing their lies. We’ve got ’em on the run.
